I could be totally wrong about this but I seem to remember reading somewhere that some of the slots in some macs were bus mastering slots and others weren't! So you could try switching your card order (bet you already tried that already!) ;) Don't know if theres any truth in what I'm saying either btw, it's just idle gossip I picked up somewhere and may be nonesense.
You could try talking to the disk controller people about your problem. I've got a preety good idea of what they will say but it might be worth a try. ;) I know this is a horrid suggestion but does the card work fine with just the onboard disk controller? love Freya --- insightinmind <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Anyone with experience with audio cards in a PPC > 9500 or other similar > family PPC? > > My M-Audio 2496 acts up, especially when used in > conjunction with > another Master PCI card (one that sort of controls > the bus it's on, as > my understanding goes: e.g., an ATA/100 PCI card or > possibly my newly > installed ATTO SCSI PSC card). > > First problem is that I have to use an early version > of the M-Audio > driver ... v 1.2.1 (they're up to 2.0.5 now). > > I'm running OS X 10.3.9 on my PowerPC 9500, with the > help of XPostfacto > 4 ...
