Meir, have you turned on DMA for the drive? Right click on the My Computer
icon and go into properties, device manager and double click on the DVD Rom
drive icon, go to settings and make sure the DMA box is checked. Get a
hardware decoder card too as software decoders never come close enough,
more so since you are running a Celeron 500 with onboard sound which I
would also recommend you replace with even a simple PCI sound card. The
DMA will help but the sound stutter will continue with the onboard sound.
