Cindy, I tried DirecTV when they first came out with their package about 2-years ago and I only used it for 1-month as it was too expensive for FULL time use, and it interfered with my USR modem when it was on standby so I discontinued it. As you know, it only works on the download side and you must use your regular Modem to up-load. Go DSL!! I use PacBell DSL and it works great, no problems what-so-ever. HTH Ed
