Lori, Problem solved. . . Go to Tools/ Internet Options/Advanced and take the tick out of "USE PASSIVE FTP ( for firewall & DSL Modem compatibility)" I am using Win-XT with IE-6.0.260 on a dual boot system, and Win-Me as my other OS with the same IE-6.0.260. Your site opens perfectly with Win-Me, so I removed the tick as stated above, and VIOLA!. . .now your site runs perfectly with Win-XP as well. HTH Ed -- [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Skye wrote: Back on this thread.... I am having this problem now, too. Only partially, though. Not all websites do this to me. The one I am having a problem with is one of my own. It's http://skyebird.topcities.com I transferred the site from another host. I checked to be sure that all my graphics were there in my account, and they are. They are not in an "images" folder, and shouldn't be. I didn't change my html file at all, I simply transferred all the files to Topcities. I've been doing websites for several years, and while not an expert, am far from a novice! I went to the Microsoft website, and followed the instructions, though everything seemed to be in order with my settings. I can view virtually any other website I go to. I have a brand new laptop, with IE on it, that I am not as used to as Netscape, but still have used it before. On my old computer, I can view the site fine with Netscape. It's just with the laptop and Topcities. Weird! Can anyone help? Thank you! Lori [EMAIL PROTECTED] ============= PCWorks Mailing List ================= Don't see your post?
