Rick, do a "cont-alt-del" and see what's running in the
background. Then shut them all down except for Explorer and
System tray. Then do it again and be sure that is ALL that's
running. Then try and it shut it down and post what happens.

Good morning, all.
When I try to shut down my Win98 program it refuses to turn
off. I hit
Start----Shut Down and nothing happens. It won't work in
Restart either.
I've got to manually turn the computer off and then it takes a
long time to
reboot because the computer was "incorrectly shut down". Any
ideas? Thanks
Rick Gillespie
