Sue, perhaps, but the problem was their was no distinction between the original thread
and the part of the
reply...such as >>>>before the original lines of text...
Then, you add more replies to that message and all is lost.
I simply answer the questions in the order they were asked and in detail so all is
understood.
When you have people placing their replies at different locations..the whole thread
will be out of order
and not make sense.
I am on many mailing list and the greater majority place their text at the beginning.
If their is not a long signature, I can simply peak down at the original message which
may be near the
bottom of the new mail window..as I read the response.

IMHO, the responding posts that make the most sense are the ones who reply
directly after the pertinent parts. For many posts, this would be
"interspersed" replies.

Many people write in with more than one problem in a post. Interspersed
answers are much easier to follow, rather than having to scroll _up_ or
_down_ to find the question.

Also, changing the subject line to reflect the subject of your post would
be additionally helpful. In addition, deleting the parts of the previous
post that have nothing to do with what you're asking about, or offering
info about, would also be helpful.
