By omitting the > from your reply to Sue it's not obvious whose post came first,
yours or Sue's.

Unfortunately the majority of people use Oulook Express, which defaults to replying
at the top of the thread, and people are too lazy to move the cursor.

If I post here, you can see I agree with Sue.
So interspersed posting is actually clearer.
I can also tell the order in which the other posts were made by the number of
indentation lines (>). Those posters who helpfully remove them, destroy the
path. If the path is too confusing it's because you haven't snipped enough
of the irrelevant parts out. As I'm replying to both Jeff and Sue I've snipped
Jason's post.

Amending the end of the subject line is helpful. Ammending the start of the
subject line is confusing.
