Aloha Cindy, A PCI NIC is a Network Interface Card designed to be plugged in to a computer's PCI bus (a bus found in nearly all new computers). Generally. it will have a jack which looks like a standard telephone jack but slightly larger; this is where you make your ethernet connection using cat 5 or cat6 cable which has RJ45 telephone plugs installed... Tod determine if you have one installed look for this large 'telephone' jack on the rear panel of your computer case... Most likely there are other ways but it's all I can think of at the moment...
