Most new computers will have a NIC (Network interface Card). Look on the
back of the computer for a connection that looks like a regular telephone
plug, but slightly larger.
You can also check in Control Panel/System under "Network Adapter".

We have a new computer and I was wondering, how do you tell if you have an
ethernet connection? Our last computer didn't have one so we had one
installed. I think this one does but I'm not positive. Also, what is a
PCI NIC Card?
