Original problem --- Clicking the x (upper right hand corner), my Firefox takes 5 seconds to close. Same thing happens when double-clicking the FF icon in upper left hand corner. When closing it by File > Exit, it is immediate. Closing IE or any other window, there is no problem. What causes the delay; what's wrong with my FF title bar? --- Harold
>From Clint --- I've found FF to be loads slower than IE, that's another reason why I'm not using it yet. But in my case, it took about 30 seconds to start! It would lock up the entire PC where you couldn't do anything, until it finally loaded. However on my PC's, it shut down immediately. It was only on loading that took so long. I'm not familiar with what you mean by clicking the upper left icon. Since so many people are having so many different issues with it, is another reason it's not ready. - -Clint Response --- Sorry, Clint, I meant the logo in the upper right hand corner that is found on most windows. Double clicking it also closes the window. Other than the need to "run around" looking through all those extensions. Three good extensions I found from this group are 1. Add Bookmarks Here, 2. Favorites Converter, and 3. View This Page in IE. I'm very satisfied with Firefox (I appreciate plain foods, simple browsers, and uncomplicated people). Just don't know why I have this shut down delay using either side of the FF Title bar ... Harold ============= PCWorks Mailing List ================= Don't see your post?
