If you mean those EXACT words as they are below, all at the same time, 26th is horrible. For all those words at the same time, I should not only be 1st on the 1st, but about the only hit. More importantly, who would search for all those terms at the *same* time?
The index page is for different keyword usage. It USED to show for some words, and the main page USED to show for others. I learned a long time ago not to bother with that validator. You can put ANY website through it found on the first page of results for any search and see tons of errors. That validator also shows errors where nothing exists. I've tried to change them, like it said, and it would find the same error. Those that link to me are ALL showing up for me now INSTEAD of me! That's what sucks and is so pathetic! THEY are still there, but I'm GONE. Also note that when searching for my business name 9 of the ten hits on the first page are linked TO ME!! Now that URL you mentioned should NOT be linking to me, I've never heard of the place and I'm not linked to him anywhere, and that is DEFINITELY a scam/spam website! Check out the homepage. http://www.reprintrightseverymonth.com/ That's got bad news written all over it. Also notice on the page you provided how the links are "strange". When you hover them, you can't see the URL in the status bar as you normally can. This is the HTML code of one of my links on the page, and I've never seen one quite like it: <span class="dylk" onclick=openwin('http://www.orpheuscomputing.com/main.html')>Wholesale Discount Computer Upgrades, Discount Computer Hardware Suppliers, Computer Hardware Dealers, Discount ...</span> The clicked page opens up first with "about:blank" then goes to my site, and there is NO REASON to do that to my knowledge other than something that's not legit. I wonder if this what is meant by a "302 hijack"????? What is <span class="dylk" ??? Thanks, :-) -Clint God Bless Clint Hamilton, Owner http://OrpheusComputing.com ----- Original Message ----- From: "Hugh Vandervoort" I took these words from your main site and Googled them: Computer Hardware Sales, Computer Upgrades-PC Upgrades Custom Built Computers & Consumer Electronics Sales You show up at #26. Not bad at all. Why do you have that splash page? Everything I've read says they are bad news. I'm also surprised to see <font> tags. I know it's a pain to switch to CSS, but on a large site it will make life easier in the long run. Have you used the W3C validator? http://validator.w3.org/ It shoes a zillion or so errors in your pages, some of which are significant. It can't hurt to have valid HTML. Dr. HTML is sometimes helpful also: http://www.fixingyourwebsite.com/drhtml.html This guy: http://www.reprintrightseverymonth.com/make-money/discount-computer-hardware -wholesale.html Shows up at #2 when searching on Orpheus Computing. He links to you, but looks like some kind of con man who might be taking advantage of your popularity. Take a look. Spend some time on the things you can do something about. I've got to go check on the Chauffeur (I think he's diddling one of the maids) and I'll be in the South of France the rest of the week, but I'll stay in touch. Good luck. **************************************************************************** ********************* Not "OrpheusComputing" but "orpheus computing" (no quotes). That's two completely different things. Of course the site will show if it's one word since that's the exact URL. However, it's non existent as the business name. No, I was serious. I know it sounds funny and I try to use humor even at the worst of times, but it's true if this keeps up. As I've pointed out, I think it goes way beyond this. Like I indicated, I have several PC related domain names that if you "click" them in an email for example, they will go to my main site. This means, the SAME IDENTICAL site, my MAIN site, will show as the webpage and webpages, but there can be 5 or 6 different domain names to get you there, but these domain names will each appear in the address bar for every page. (AKA domain forwarding). These other domains are **UNAFFECTED**. If it were a "content issue", these other domains would not NOW be showing up in search for my business name for example. There's also all these other sites with hideous content, illegal cloaking and tricks, which are still on top. This is proof to me that something else is going on here other than another "algorithm update", and I think some "competitor" has done something to me for this to happen. If you really *did* win a lottery, then I'm sure you should be able to understand the situation of those that have not. Thanks for the words. I could use that saying "when you have your health you have everything" which is CERTAINLY TRUE, except for the fact the health around here isn't so good. I don't have "God Bless" in my signature file for nothing. I have no "faith in the system" but I do have faith in God. It's hard though to think that way when you've have this happen to you. I am a Christian and perhaps I should put my faith in God and forget about this, and let him handle it. Now THAT is the best advice. ============= PCWorks Mailing List ================= Don't see your post?
