Jeff have you determined yet why the icon is there, what's it
for? Is it there all the time? Have you checked the "Start
Up" folder for anything that shouldn't be there, and the "Start
up" tab in Msconfig? Can you tell from where this icon is
trying to d'load something? Check your firewall logs, open
them, click the icon, then see where it's trying to
communicate. If that doesn't work, shut down your net
connection, then let it try and d'load, and see if you get a
timed-out message, it may state then timed-out to where.

Thanks Elaine.
I recently did an XP update from M$ site.
I did forget to mention, I ran Adaware, Spybot and Trend Micro
and they only found a few minor things.
I followed the prompts in the red rectangle up to the point
where it asked to download something, but the
program didn't appear to be a M$ program, so I cancelled.

During the update downloads, one was labeled as the M$ spyware
program, but I can't find it under program
files.

When the Microsoft AntiSpyare program is active
there is a round red circle in your tray (red,
yellow, blue, is that like a bulls eye?).

There was a recent update on my PC, it involved
giving me another six months of the beta and
updating the signature files.

If you set in the program for automatic scans, it
should scan at the times you set in. If you set
it for manual scans, then you should bring up the
program and tell it to scan.

I suspect the block might have been the automatic
updater, but I don't know what is on your system.
Have you done any AV or spy/mal/ad-ware scans?

Elaine
