yes, i know. that's why i ask...
the way to do this is to tell Gem where the Pd sources are at configure
time ("--with-pd=")
but the ./configure did find pd location. so why should i add this flag?

version : 0.42
extension : pd_linux
but really you discovered a bug: Gem should check for s_stuff.h at
configure time and not fail to build when it cannot find it.
