Once the pdf is made, open it in Acrobat, view the pages in the thumbnails
menu to the left and just reorder the magazine in the correct order. If
you don't have a full version of acrobat or a version that can be used up
at the school you may be out of luck on this. I don't think that a acrobat
reader version will allow you to reorder the pages within the booklet.

I'm not sure this is the list to ask this question, but here goes:

The principal of my children's elementary school asked me to create a
yearbook/annual, booklet style 8.5 x11 (which means printing on paper 11 x
17 and folding/binding, etc.) of approximately 44 inside pages and 4 pages
of cover (front, front inside, back inside, back)

I am using Microsoft Publisher 2003 on a windows PC to create the booklet.
Where we are priting the booklet (the public school's print shop) they use
ONLY mac computers so they want the file in PDF or Postscript format.
The problem I am having is that behind the scenes, Publisher creates the
pages in the proper order for printing, even though what you see on screen
shows the booklet pages in numerical order. When I save the publisher file
in PDF format (I'm using a printer driver called pdfFactory (
http://www.fineprint.com/products/pdffactory/index.html) as I don't have
Adobe Acrobat, the pages don't get set up in "booklet" fashion, therefore
they are not in the correct order for the print shop.

This is what the print shop told me to do and it is a lot of extra work on
my part:

You'll have to make a 11x17 page in Publisher
and then copy and paste the pages in the correct
                printing order, not consecutive order.
For example the front cover will be on the "right" side
of an 11x17 and the back cover on the "left" side.

Is there a way to do booklet printing in a PDF document besides redoing my
Publisher file by copy and paste?
Thanks for whatever help you can share.
Kory
