The difficulty here is that you don't know enough information about the
file, thus we don't know enough either, to guide you through the process. A
PDF can have mixed file formats and print to laser printers and copiers.

There are many issues which can cause a PDF to fail.

If you continue to have problems, you need to know what program created the
file (and the version), the platform, the PPD or printer used, the version
of Acrobat, etc. If you'd like to extract one page of the file and email it
to me privately, I'd be happy to take a look at it for you.

There can also be issues with your print drivers. If you're printing using
PCL, you might encounter problems with PDFs. I worked for a large company
with copiers and had to install a PostScript print driver on my computer to
get certain files to rip.

Let us or me know if we can help you further.

Rich

We are printing to Cannons - imageRunner8500 and imageRunner105.

However, the problem has to be fixed on the file end of the process. We have
several facilities world wide that have to be able to print the files so we
cannot have special ways of getting the file to print. It just has to go.

We decided to contact the client to try to get them to fix their native
files since there doesn't seem to be a good fix. Thanks for your help.

Sincerely,
