Sabrina,
You could try "print to file", using a greyscale print driver and PPD, then re-distill the resultant .prn file. As everyone else has said, it's not the optimal solution, but it has got me out of a few tight situations.

We are printing to Cannons - imageRunner8500 and imageRunner105.

However, the problem has to be fixed on the file end of the process. We have
several facilities world wide that have to be able to print the files so we
cannot have special ways of getting the file to print. It just has to go.

We decided to contact the client to try to get them to fix their native
files since there doesn't seem to be a good fix. Thanks for your help.

Sincerely,
Sabrina Coshow
