> names are as many as 36 characters/spaces. Files are all root based. There's your problem. In MacOS classic, your file names had to be less than 31 characters. So, that leaves you with 27.3 (filename.extension) format. I'd also strongly suggest you not use spaces (use underscores instead) and stay away from any punctuation other than dashes. OSX can handle long filenames.
