Yes, Adobe has implemented a number of approaches to generation of smaller PDF documents...
So far, ps files distilled in Acrobat 4 are slightly smaller than Acrobat 6.
Most likely because Distiller 6 is doing a better job of creating correct & valid PDF files...
Using the reduce file size feature had very little reduction even with compatibility to Acrobat 6. Anyone using PDF compressor with good results?
