Apple recently announced improved PDF support in the next version (OS X v10.3/Panther) of Preview, including the ability to open EPS and PostScript files and save them as PDF. Does anybody know what PDF versions the next version of Preview will be able to save (PDF 1.3, 1.4, and/or 1.5)? Along the same lines, will the next version of Preview include any Distiller-like save options (image compression, font embedding, standard PDF job options, etc.)?
