Great idea, thanks! I have a few questions, if you don't mind, before I bite the bullet and learn to write Javascript for Acrobat (I've written lots of it for web pages, but...)... 1. Is the field just 'hidden' like in Javascript for web pages, thus leaving a blank space as big as the field itself with nothing in it (bad), or does the rest of the document close up around it like display=none in Javascript for web pages (good)? 2. If I can wish for the moon: I'll have a lot of these to do, so I'm wondering if you can write Macros to make your programming task easier. In MS Word, you can write entire documents by running Macros. Anything resembling that in Adobe for Javascript? 3. So I guess Adobe Javascript doesn't let you open your own little windows, right, or you would have mentioned that? Except for my objection regarding the time of day, the Notes are so desirable not just because you can open and close them so easily, and size them just right, but because (apparently), the user can move them around on the screen, making it possible to place them just where one wants while viewing a video clip. 4. I say 'apparently' because I just realized I have another important question: I can move Notes around on the screen when I test a pdf in the Reader, but can I assume a user without the full Acrobat product installed will have any ability that I myself have when I try something in the Reader on my PC? Then we have a second form field which is a button with the action for mouse_down to be show/hide field show the first field.
