As long as fonts are embedded and subset you shouldn't have any problems. The only issues that you might have would be RIP incompatibilities. I have my newsletter file on quark 5.0 and will produce a pdf (prepress quality) through acrobat 6.0. I work on a PC. My printer has Mac, acrobat 5.0 and agfa accuset 1000 (type setter).
