I am producing a state comprehensive annual report using Windows XP, Acrobat 5.05 (full version), Acrobat 6 Reader, Word 2000, the latest version of Lotus 123, Illustrator 10, and the latest PCL and postscript printer drivers for an HP LaserJet 8100N printer. I am only using TrueType fonts. I am creating postscript files using the latest Acrobat Distiller printer driver. I combine the files using the "rundirex" postscript program provided by Adobe; I'm using the Distiller setting (Isaacs) based on Dov Isaac's "Reliable PDF Creation in the Enterprise" presentation at the PDF 2001 Conference West. I don't have any problems creating the PDF (annual report); I have problems when I try to print it using the HP LaserJet 8100N printer (postscript driver). I am getting "limitcheck" errors with the offending command listed as "clip"; the problem pages are Lotus 123 spreadsheets. I can print the PDF without any problems using the HP PCL Printer driver. Using the HP postscript printer driver, I've had the Acrobat 6 Reader print a page successfully, whereas Acrobat 5.05 (full version) generates the "limitcheck" error when printing the same page. I've reinstalled the HP LaserJet postscript driver, but I am still having problems. I assuming my problems are being caused by the HP postscript printer driver? Help...
