Thanks to all who responded...in answer to your questions and to Leonard directly, yes, I already had a PDF services foldler so the PDF workflow is enabled. I was attempting to use the X-3 filer "PDF for Filter" to print since I assumed that was the setting from ColorSyncUtility. Am I wrong or should I use the "Save as PDF..." Is that setting now changed when that filter is enabled?

ColorSync does come with a nice Help file...
I set it up Color sync as per his instructions and the filter appears in the PDF button
