The Movie Tool, which is what one uses in Professional to add video/movies to a PDF is NOT present in the Standard application. So the direct way is out...
HOWEVER, there is an interesting backdoor that works KIND OF...Acrobat 6 supports the creation of PDFs from web pages including any embedded rich media. And I have verified that you can capture pages with Flash, WMF, etc. using Acrobat 6 standard. UNFORTUNATELY, I was hoping that since you can capture & display it, you could then copy it from one document to another using the Object Selection tool - unfortunately Adobe locked that door :(.
