We still don't have this nagging problem fixed. We're putting in a lot of time and getting nowhere. Let me ask som different questions:

1. Where can I find (and download) the pdf reference document "PDFRef.pdf"? There are many references to it in several documentations, however links to the file themselves are dead/out-of-date.

2. When text is searched programatically using Javascript in Adobe's Acrobat, is there any way to get/return the text's location on the page? This may be useful when creating link rectangles around specific keywords (since links seem to be based on bitmap regions of the document page)..

3. I'm also looking for any references to "links" in Acrobat especially in terms of Adobe's Javascript language construct. How the link object is created, set to certain actions and etc. The only solid description in the JavaScript Object Specifications refer to the addWeblinks/removeWedlinks document methods. Looking at links done manually it seems to me that there ought to be more methods/controls exposed than those explained in the Object Specification so I'm convinced I'm not looking in the right place.
