Leonard These are the symptoms, using Acrobat 5. Apparently the same PDF file does not cause this error with Acrobat 4. I'm just guessing that it is the old plain 'C' program used to generate the PDF file that needs to be fixed, and I apologise if this question ought be directed elsewhere. I tried printing some more copies and it worked OK - printing double sided as long as I do not click on Apply in the print menu. And I also got an error message when I tried clicking on the printer icon on the toolbar. I am printing to the colour printer the tektronix phaser 850N, The error message that I received was: Acrobat This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down. If the problem persists, contact the program vendor. This is in the details section: ACROBAT caused an exception 10H in module ACROBAT.EXE at 0167:0056edb0. The postscript options are not dimmed - before we click on apply (I can't check after because the program crashes). Using Acrobat version 5.0. I'm able to delete and add pages to the Acrobat files, however I'm not able to save the file once I have made changes. When I try to save the file, a dialogue box comes up with the following message: 'The document could not be saved. There was a problem reading this document (110)' This error message does not provide a details section. The menu items that get dimmed when the dialogue box appears are all of the drop down menus in the top row, namely File, edit etc. Note that I'm able to modify some other files generated by the 'C' program using Acrobat Version 5.0. I hope that this helps, and thank you for your time.
