Hi Leonard THANK YOU for your reply. I found the default to be that they
ARE checked off. I have tested this out on fresh installs about 10
times. 

Is the plugin an Adobe product and we would get this plugin if it would
solve the problem. I have called Adobe and no one has suggested it. Is
there someone that you know that I could contact about this? I do need
to resolve this issue.

Again thank you for some direction on this. I greatly appreciate it.

        Yes and no.

        Technically, you can write a plugin to control the state of 
of those checkboxes using the new print parameters in Acrobat 6.

        Legally, you'll need to apply for a Reader Plugin License 
(IKLA) and see if you are approved - and then pay the $$...

        Yes, but they are both off by default and almost never need 
to be turned on except on unusual PDFs...
