We just installed Acrobat Professional on one of the machines here to test some of the features and it seems to have a REALLY nasty side effect. Acrobat installs plug-in and buttons across most of the Microsoft software and web browsers.
Correct.
This is a MAJOR feature of the product called "PDFMakers", which enables HIGH QUALITY/FIDELITY PDF output from those applications.
Is there some way I can go into Acrobat Pro and turn all of these off or do I have to shut them down item by item in each program affected?
You would need to remove them from each program...
But WHY do you want to do that??
