Wieland, I take it that this lens is regularly available.

Please tell us why it is so inexpensive. A lens such as this from
Vivitar or Cosina or another company known for inexpensive optics would
still cost much, much more in the U.S. Does it have a reputation for
being a poor lens?

Also, is it still being made, or are these from old stock, manufactured
before unification when wages in the east were lower?

What do people in Europe think of this lens? It looks very interesting
for occasional use, unless the optics are poor quality. (For many years
I used an old, old Exakta with Zeiss Tessar lenses that were excellent.)
