I have this lens. It's an OK consumer zoom.
But there is a lot of Barrel -/Pillow distortion (you can see it in the
viewfinder).
I too have asked the PDML group. It's nothing compared to the very sharp,
excellent (discontinued) FA 4.0/28-70mm! I use mine for travelling with my
Super A, when my Tokina 2.6-2.8 ATX PRO 28-70mm (which is allmost as sharp
as the FA4.0, if you believe "Photodo" tests) is too heavy or huge.
