Oh dear...I started reading this thread, and after counting up my acquisitions for this past year, I'm almost too embarrassed to list them all! I like the older Pentaxes, and for years now have been using my trusty MG, with a SMC Pentax-M 50mm f/2.0. It all started with getting a backup MG body, so I'd have a source of parts, just in case. It was in such good shape, I decided to get a new lens for it, so I picked up a nearly new Pentax-A 50mm f/2. Fine combination... Then I rejoined PDML. Oh boy...another misstep! My next body was an almost perfect Spotmatic F! What fun that was! So I joined the Spotty group online and started educating myself about the M-42 lenses and bodies... One thing led to another, and I now count 9 Takumar and 7 K-mount lenses of various apertures! Sighhh. Would that that were all...I also have, by actual count, 7 new-to-me Pentax bodies, the newest of which is my precious MX!
The one thing I got for Christmas I really love is "The Ultimate Asahi Pentax Screw Mount Guide." <grin> Easy to keep me pleased! Before all this Pentax-gear-buying flurry, I had been a sometime collector of various examples of nice but somewhat less common cameras. Now I've turned into a dangerous Pentax amasser! Where will it all end? I've already cut up my VISA! <g> keith whaley wendy beard wrote: > > >-- On Wednesday 01 January 2003 02:49 am, Frankie Lee wrote: > >-- > What gear (Pentax or not) you have added in 2002? > > I daren't even think about listing my acquisitions.
