In general, the photographers who have been using the digital cameras are a lot more impressed with what they are seeing than the view of things that theorists are coming up with based on numbers.
Something that many here forget is that aside from wedding/affair work, most photographers have their work viewed after it comes of a printing press. While MF reproduces with more "pop" than 35mm, the difference isn't as important when making large prints.
