One of the things I've read about the 1Ds has to do with chromatic aberations with wide angle lenses. Fred Miranda's site points this out: http://www.fredmiranda.com/1Ds_review/index_fullframe.html The samples look awful in the corners. On the other hand, the night and long exposure results are simply amazing: http://www.fredmiranda.com/1Ds_review/index_longexp.html I seem to recall tv saying something about switching to digital when he'd be able to shoot in low light with no noise.
