There are some detailed tech spec that the D60 improves considerably on over the D30. Mainly to do with low-light capability, long exposures, the way the thing buffers pics etc. The actual image may not appear that much better (although doubling the data acquired is nothig to sneer at), but usability is - from what I have read.
