Two messages I'm hearing from my friend who works for Pentax (paraphrased):
--Don't call the *ist entry-level, it's not, it's a highly spec'd camera with very fast AF, sophisticated metering, lots of features. It's going to cost $350-$400 street, that's mid-range, entry-level SLRs cost half that. --Let's not judge it till we get our hands on it, feel it, look it over, look through it, try out the controls.
