Shel -

No shots with the SMC lens, though I have one with the Rikenon 55 f1.2 @1.2 in the PUG -

http://pug.komkon.org/00june/spirit.htm

I was about 25 feet from the front of the boat - as you can see, DOF at 1.2 is pretty limited even with a fairly short lens (like 55mm) and fairly good distances.  I focused to get the name of the boat sharp, the bow and the bridge both are falling out of the DOF range.

I have done little hand held low light stuff with the LX, but the one thing I found when fiddling about with a Sigma 14mm f3.5 in some available light settings is that the OFT metering can kick in an bump your exposure by a critical stop when you are not expecting it.  For example, the display would say 1/30th before pressing the button, but the shutter clearly sounds like 1/15th or slower (for me, shutter speeds of less than 1/30th start to sound unique on the LX.)

I'm starting to take a few more snaps in low light, and have been
thinking of a 50/1.2 to supplement my Pentax lenses.

Looking through the lens gallery I could find no pictures of people
using either the K or the A version of this lens.  Does anyone have
any pointers to some people pictures taken at wider apertures with
these lenses, especially in low light.  I'm looking for some shots
that were taken within about 10 or 15 feet or so.

For LX users, which screens do you find best with this lens in low
light?

Thanks!
