If these blackouts are on a schedule, get a copy of the schedule
and shut the computer down gracefully before the power goes
down.  That's the best, cheapest, way to go. The only other good
way is to have an UPS, and when the power goes down, you still
have time to shut down the computer gracefully. The most
expensive way is to buy a generator (alternator) and set it up
so that you can keep right on running.  This takes a fair amount
of work to get installed and running properly, and you still
need the UPS to keep the computer going while you start the
generator.
