OK, let's leave it at this: you're right for what you do, and I'm right for what I do and from what I've seen. IMO, the Nikon is a consumer scanner, although a good one. One thing that's of interest in your reply: I asked if YOU had ever made the comparison, and you're telling me about what your friends SAID <LOL> Did you see comparisons yourself? Did you see how the scans and prints were made? Are you aware of what other equipment was in the processing chain?
