Hi Rob ...

Sure thing, however, since I made it for my own use, it's rather
rough. Perhaps I can finish it up a bit and post it to the list or
make it accessible on my home page.

Basically, it provides the thread diameter and the Nikon lens for
which the hood was designed, along with the Nikon hood number.
However, experience has shown which Pentax lenses these hoods will
work well on, as some Nikon hoods will work quite well on Pentax
lenses with different focal lengths than the designated Nikon
lenses. Some hoods may require a step-up ring to work on some
Pentax lenses, such as when using a 62mm thread Nikon lens on a 58mm
thread Pentax lens. It's also possible to use, for example, a hood
for a particular Nikon focal length on a shorter (wider) Pentax
lens. One example that comes to mind is the HN-7, which is designed
for the Nikon 85mm/1.8, on the Pentax K85/1.8 as well as the various
Pentax 50mm lenses. This is due to the way the Nikon hood flares,
and, therefore, provides a deeper hood than the standard Pentax
hood.
