ReallyRightStuff sells an L bracket for vertical shots specifically for the Bogen tabletop. Very expensive, but should make that little bitty ball head more usable. Me, I just put a swivel head on the ball head when I want a vertical with that nice little tripod.

You'd be surprised what the Manfrotto tabletop tripod will hold. Mine held the MZ-S with Sigma 70-200 2.8 and Metz 40 MZ-3 flash, all without flexing or complaining. Looked sorta neat. I haven't tried the 6x7 on it; that would look pretty wild!
