My husband is a software engineer. He writes tons of code, so technically he's a coder, but he can also design software from scratch, so I wouldn't call him a coder first, even though he does a lot of it... I'm a coder, but I just write HTML and that sort of thing, so I usually tell people I'm a front-end coder, and sometimes they still get confused. <VBG>
