I agree wholeheartedly. There are so many options with flash that can alter your results. And of course these options range from the very simple, such as how the flash is mounted on the camera, to the very complex with multiple units, reflectors, and diffusers. Creating a natural or merely interesting look with flash is a worthy challenge and certainly an art.
