There's  a website http://www.ptialaska.net/~hutch/aurora.html with quite a
bit of technical data as well as pictures.

The recommendations are rather vague, meaning there's a a lot of variables.
They are recommending an exposure time between 15 - 30 secs.  I suspect that
may be with 100 speed film, unpushed, and a fast lens.

I rechecked my camera and I had it loaded with Provia 100F rated at 400.  I
exposed at 4 & 8 secs.  If I can see it tonight I'll probably go thru the
range of bracketing with exposures up to 30 secs.
