yeah, it's as good as the lens allows. if i didn't have the 80-320, i wouldn't have had a shot at all, just a speck in the distance. there is a slight bit of motion blur, but i was able to shoot at 1/1000 and that helped. of the 24 shots i took, 5 are good and distinct enough to be usable for stock photos of bald eagles in the area. i chose this one to display specifically because of the connection from the chunk of fish in the beak back to the body. my biologist friend says that it looks like a shad or a shad-like fish.
