I dont do a whole lot of it, but if i go into Toronto i usually do the same,take my
Yashica-Mat. I take a 
general meter reading and look down,shuffle my feet,look at a map etc when i focus.The
leaf shutter is 
to quiet to be heard on a busy street corner.

Plus the lens on it is quite good
