Tan, I wouldn't worry too much. On my trip back from Hong Kong, I carried
my camera gear in a Lowepro, and in addition had another bag with duty-frees
in it. On a trip to the UK, I had my camera bag and a laptop, and
travelled both Qantas and Cathay Pacific without problems. The carry on
rules allow for a bag plus something like a camera, and I have never been
challenged when carrying a laptop as well as a camera bag. Somebody else
commented on the amount of stuff some people take on board - I've seen
walking Christmas trees on some flights!

If we don't talk before, have a great trip - I wish I could go too, but one
overseas jaunt a year is all I can do!

Subject: transporting my kit...
