A lot of those old negs are becoming unprintable because the services are being discontinued by the wholesale labs. They don't want to deal with oddball sizes that take up man hours to print. This leaves many people out in the cold, so to speak. They are not enthusiasts, so they don't necessarily have a film scanner or a darkroom, nor are they willing to take up the hobby for a few old family snapshots. William Robb
