Sorry, I should have been more specific. It is the adaptors to connect the winders/motordrives/battery packs I am talking about. The on-camera ones are quite easy to fabricate. The others...... Well, your technique certainly would allow you to create the basic plug. But all of these are screwthreaded for security as well. I'm not saying that Pentax didn't do this to make them even more difficult to copy but I can see how the extra security would be useful.
