While on the topic of malware, I should mention a file that caused me a lots 
of aggravation and wasted time:  something called noupdate.exe.  It 
prevented Norton and Windows from doing any updates, and would stop Norton 
scans as soon as they started.  I'm really glad I was able to get rid of it.
