A year+ and nothing's changed for me, the excitement turned into utility and 
that never wore off.

It can be corrected to a rectilinear view quite easily using a PS plug-in so do 
consider that before you rid yourself of it.

Did you mean the f2.8?

Maybe but just remember that if you do swing back to film at any stage the DA 
lens is pretty much useless on a full frame body.
